Plays 4 sixteenth notes guitar
In this course of rhythmic you will find four exercises that will allow you to play four doubles per beat on the guitar. Before we can play this, we will go through 4 preliminary exercises.
Don't forget to work on eighth notes before if this is not already the case.
To begin, in this first exercise, you will play 4 sixteenth notes on the guitar followed by a sigh. So, we will have 4 doubles on the first beat, a sigh on the second beat, 4 doubles on the third beat, a sigh on the fourth beat. The rhythmic movement for the 4 doubles on the guitar is low – high – low – high.
Sighs are made by placing your palm on the strings to stop the sound.
Then here, the sigh is replaced by a quarter note. In fact, we will therefore have 4 doubles on the first beat, a quarter note on the second beat, 4 doubles on the third beat, a quarter note on the fourth beat. The rhythmic hand movements on the guitar are low – high – low – high for sixteenth notes and low for quarter notes.
In this third exercise, the quarter note is replaced by two eighth notes. So, we will have 4 doubles on the first beat, two eighth notes on the second beat, 4 doubles on the third beat, two eighth notes on the fourth beat. The rhythmic movements on the guitar are low – high – low – high for sixteenth notes. For the eighth notes you will do low high.
To finish this series, in this last exercise we will play 4 series of 4 four sixteenth notes in a row. So, we will have 4 doubles on the first beat, 4 doubles on the second beat, 4 doubles on the third beat, 4 doubles on the fourth beat.
