In our version of this track, we chose to stay faithful to the original version, which is particularly melodic. It's important to pay attention to the fingering during the passage of the verse, when you bring the same finger down on the string below. Make sure you position your fingers correctly to help transition smoothly between chords.

Additionally, at the end of the intro, there is a bend that closes the pattern and allows you to go directly to the string below. Be sure to control the intensity of the bend and transition precisely to achieve the characteristic sound of this part.

The choruses also feature ghost notes, which are muted notes. Although it may seem like a challenge, these ghost notes are not insurmountable. Focus on your string attack and make sure to keep a slightly relaxed left hand to get the right muffled sound. Practice these passages regularly to develop your mastery of ghost notes.

By carefully working on these technical aspects and paying particular attention to fingering, bends and ghost notes, you will be able to play the original version of “Start Me Up” with precision and fidelity. Take your time to get used to these specific passages and don't hesitate to slow down the tempo to master each movement.

The goal is to be able to play this iconic Rolling Stones song with confidence and fluidity, while remaining attentive to the details that make each passage unique. Continue to practice regularly and you will feel more and more comfortable with these technical subtleties of Start Me Up bass tabs.

Our advice: take care of your notes and note changes by working slowly on each part of the song. Then, go through the different parts of the song slowly at first, then gradually increase. Also don't hesitate to play it a little faster to be comfortable compared to the original speed.
